Check out Man vs Food, Rochester NY edition on Oct 19th! Looks like
he'll be at Sticky Lips BBQ, some place called Campi's and NICK TAHOU'S
(Home of the Garbage Plate!). For any of you that have asked what a
garbage/trash plate is, hopefully he will do a good job of explaining it
to the masses! I'd recommend setting the DVR to record it, the program is on Travel Channel at 9pm. It is the 'NASCAR' episode, due to it being recorded when there was a race at Watkins Glen about 2-3 hours away.
Here are the details from the local online newspaper in Rochester:
"Local foodies might want to catch the Oct. 19th airing of ‘Man v Food Nation’ starring host Adam Richman as he visits three Rochester-area eateries.
Richman invited NASCAR’s Joey Logano to take on Sticky Lips BBQ Atomic Bomb challenge, a plate full of nearly five pounds of food.The challenge was so tempting, that I took it on last summer for $20. Check it out: Man v. Food Nation; Food defeats Todd.
Richman reportedly also made stops at Campi’s and Nick Tahou’s.
If you don’t know, Richman is the host of Travel Channel’s popular ‘Man v. Food’ series. He started off by tackling the challenges himself, but now enlists the help of locals for the food challenges.
We’re working on more updates before the show airs. But if you’re a fan of food, and eating in extreme ways, you’ll want to tune into the Travel Channel (cable channel 40) at 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 19.
I could tell you if Logano completed the challenge, but I hate to ruin the ending."
